These paintings may look real, but they are based on what I think and feel, not what I see. They are experiences of places. They exist only in the realm of imagination – places in ways that we do not normally see or think about them.
Places are more than one can see. They have history and presence. They elicit feelings that are often enigmatic: difficult to interpret or understand.
