Series Statement: Recurring themes in my figurative works are human relationships and motifs (themes, symbols, and colors) from art- and human-history
The She’s Not There Series were painted with R&F Pigment Sticks and a bit of brushwork on archival paper that I primed with gesso and over-painted with gold metallic medium. I was looking at several old paintings of icons and I wanted to use the gold symbolism in my paintings.
