As I walked through the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, I was emotionally overwhelmed and kept hearing a whisper, “Everything’s ok”. I wondered what it would be like to meet Anne after the war as a young woman in a park. The painting is based on her quote “Go outside, to the country, enjoy the sun and all nature has to offer. … think of all the beauty in yourself and in everything around you and be happy.” The lifeless trees symbolize her imprisonment, now behind her.
